Bear Fire in Boulder Creek burns a home, threatens 150 more

A new wildfire broke out on Monday night – this time in the Santa Cruz mountains along Bear Creek Road in Boulder Creek. It quickly spread to 125 acres and is threatening about 150 homes. The fire, by 5 a.m. Tuesday, had already destroyed at least one home, according to Cal Fire. Also, a firefighter fell 50 feet down a ravine and broke his wrist, Cal Fire said.
