Governor issues state of emergency for Thomas Fire in Ventura County

In a scene that is eerily similar to the wildfires that ripped through the North Bay in October, wild winds and hot flames took over parts of Southern California late Monday night, destroying hundreds of homes and prompting the evacuation of tens of thousands of people. Gov. Jerry Brown issued a state of emergency on Tuesday morning for Ventura County for what is being called the Thomas Fire. Christien Kafton reports
