New SJPD recruits required to hit the history books before they hit the streets

San Jose Police Department recruits are now required to take a history course that examines the law enforcement's past mistakes and how that relates to the current social and political climate. Chief Eddie Garcia tells KTVU reporter Ann Rubin, the curriculum was born out of necessity.
