Boeing 747 reborn as Global Supertanker, flies to save rain forest
A 14 member aerial firefighting crew ,with deep ties to the Golden State, including its former Cal Fire firefighting President, has flown 5300 miles to Bolivia in an effort to save the Amazon rain forest. KTVU's Tom Vacar reports the Boeing 747 plane being used in this operation is retired as a passenger jet, but for its firefighting incarnation, it's dubbed the Global Supertanker.
