Microgrid, generators fail leaving Calistoga in the dark as PG&E pulls the power plug

In Calistoga, restaurant reservations were jeopardized at one establishment when a generator gave out. It was the first time the restaurant used the new equipment to combat PG&E public safety power shutoffs. Tuesday's outage also triggered the use of a microgrid that failed, leaving the town in the dark.
