Tens of thousands of Lake Tahoe area residents flee from Caldor Fire
Much of South Lake Tahoe was evacuated on Monday due to the Caldor Fire. 22,000 residents were given orders to leave their homes. The fire has now spread to more than 186,000 acres and is 15% contained. The main route out of town, Highway 50, had traffic at a standstill for hours.
