Warmer, muggier weekend
Strengthening high pressure over the West will bring a summertime warm-up and increase fire weather concerns. Low clouds will linger along the coast, while monsoonal moisture spreads subtropical high clouds across the Bay Area. For today, expect highs in the 60s along the coast, 70s and 80s around the Bay, and 90s inland. By Sunday and Monday, the combination of monsoonal moisture and limited instability could produce isolated dry thunderstorms, increasing the risk of lightning-sparked wildfires and gusty, erratic winds. Meanwhile, a Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect through Thursday morning. Higher-than-normal tides could lead to minor flooding in low-lying areas along the coast and around the Bay during high tide.
