La Nina expected to bring cold temps to Bay Area
The National Weather Service is predicting the possibility of a La Nina this winter.
According to the National Weather Service, there is about a 70 percent chance of a La Nina that could arrive early as next month.
Although there's a strong possibility of a La Nina, it's not expected to be strong.
KTVU's Steve Paulson says although it's too early to tell if it will occur - if it does happen, it will be weaker.
He says it wouldn't necessarily mean more rain for the Bay Area, but it would mean colder temperatures.
Steve says right now it looks like we're in a good situation to get a normal amount of rainfall this winter.
He adds the next round of rain could arrive Monday
