Rain arrives tonight into the weekend

OAKLAND, Calif. (KTVU) - Temps have cooled down ahead of weekend rain.

There’s a morning frost advisory for the North Bay on Friday and a snow advisory in the Sierra.

KTVU’s Steve Paulson says rain will move in late tonight into tomorrow.

It will be rainy and windy Saturday with temps in the low to mid 60s both inland and at the coast.

There will be steady rain for almost everyone, with the heaviest rain to the north.

Some rain will linger into Sunday.

The weekend rain could bring 1-2" of rainfall to parts of the Bay Area.

It will be drier Monday and Tuesday with the next system arriving Wednesday.
