Live 2026 election results: Alameda County District Attorney
OAKLAND, Calif. - Alameda County District Attorney Ursula Jones Dickson appears to have cruised to an easy win in unofficial results from Tuesday's primary election, outpacing her closest challenger, Pamela Price, by roughly 42 percentage points.
Price, who was recalled by voters in November 2024, tallied about 23% of the vote as of the Alameda County Registrar of Voters' latest update at about 9:45 p.m. Jones Dickson captured roughly 65% at that time, with all in-person precincts reporting.
Trial lawyer Gopal Krishan captured about 11% of the unofficial vote tally.
Jones Dickson was appointed to the position in January by the county Board of Supervisors.
Jones Dickson's appointment was for one year of a term that expires in 2028, meaning she would have served until January 2027 if she had lost this election. She will serve that remaining year if she preserves her lead.
A winner will be declared outright in the primary if they receive more than 50% of the vote, which appears certain given the turnout on Election Day.
Votes postmarked by Tuesday will be counted until June 9.
The DA's race was one of several items that California voters were asked to decide, including dozens of local and statewide elections, including the highly anticipated race for governor, and congressional districts across the state.
In the Bay Area, South Bay voters will decide who will represent District 14, the region formerly represented by Rep. Eric Swalwell, who resigned and dropped out of the gubernatorial race after multiple allegations of sexual assault.
San Francisco voters will cast ballots in the District 11 congressional race, which will decide who will replace storied Rep. Nancy Pelosi.
KTVU FOX 2 will be tracking live primary election results as soon as the polls close at 8 p.m. Check back here to see live results as ballots are counted Tuesday night.
