10-month-old Fresno girl shot in head expected to make full recovery

FRESNO, Calif. (KTVU) - The 10-month-old baby who was shot in the head in Fresno last month while sitting in her mother's lap, is expected to make a full recovery, Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer said.
According to KFSN, Dyer said Fayth Percy remains hospitalized, but she is smiling and sitting upright.
Investigators believe the suspect, Marcos Antonio Echartea, 23, fired into a car the baby, her mother, and a male friend were riding in on June 23.
Echartea was upset the girl's mother 18-year-old Deziree Menagh, had repeatedly rejected his advances.
He was arrested the same day and faces three counts of attempted murder.
