2 injured in charter bus crash in San Mateo

The California Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving a charter bus, that sent two people to the hospital.

It happened just after 6 a.m. on Saturday in San Mateo.

The bus was making the transition from southbound Highway 101 to westbound 92 when it hit the guard rail.

It was carrying seven passengers from the Cache Creek Casino in Yolo County, back to the Peninsula.

Two passengers were hurt badly enough that they needed to be taken to the hospital for treatment, but they are expected to be okay.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but drugs or alcohol are not considered likely causes.
