A 3.6-magnitude earthquake shook San Jose early Thursday morning.

The USGS clocked the quake just before 5:30 a.m., just east of the Alum Rock neighborhood.

Many people felt it in the South Bay.

Andrea Aguilar wrote on Facebook that she heard it coming and then felt a jolt in the nearby Evergreen neighborhood.

Leanne Burr wrote she heard a creaking sound and then felt a stronger, rolling motion near Campbell.

Cher Ann said her bed and door shook on Blossom Hill Road in San Jose. She also felt the recent 4.1-magnitude quake in Tahoe up north.
