3.7 earthquake felt across the Bay Area

A 3.7 earthquake struck the Bay Area at 3:22 p.m. The earthquake's epicenter was centered about 8 miles northwest of Hercules and 9.3 miles west-southwest of Vallejo, USGS officials said.

There were no immediate reports of damage, but people from Fairfield to Lafayette to Burlingame said they felt the shaking.
