4 hurt when van crashes into CVS store in Moraga

MORAGA, Calif. (KTVU) - One woman was hospitalized and 3 others were injured and treated at the scene after an older maroon-colored van plowed into a CVS store in Moraga.

The incident happened shortly before 1 p.m. at the CVS located at 580 Moraga Road.

KTVU Photojournalist Randy DeVecchi was inside the store at the time, waiting in line to check out when the crash happened.

DeVecchi says an employee of the CVS store was pinned under debris as a result of the crash, and first responders had to rescue the woman. She was then transported to a nearby hospital for her injuries.

There's no word on why the van crashed into the store. Police are investigating the crash.
