Alameda Co. Sheriff's Office bomb squad assisting Cal-Fire in Oakland

OAKLAND, Calif. (KTVU) - Alameda County Sheriff's Office bomb squad is on the scene assisting Cal-Fire at Sycamore and West in downtown Oakland.
Sgt. Ray Kelly with Alameda County Sheriff's Office told KTVU early Wednesday evening Cal-Fire came upon a suspicious item, possibly a military ordnance or artillery.
The bomb squad is trying to determine if it is a live ordnance. Officials say Oakland Police are not involved in this operation. The sheriff's office tweeted a photo of the bomb squad at the scene as of 5:16 p.m.
