Andre Ward wins Intercontinental light-heavyweight fight, unanimous decision

OAKLAND, Calif. - 2004 Olympic gold medalist and Oakland native Andre Ward was the winner of the World Boxing Organization Intercontinental light-heavyweight fight at Oracle Arena.
The fight lasted 12 rounds, and was won by unanimous decision.
After Saturday's fight, Andre now has a record of 30 wins and no losses after facing Alexander Brand.
That puts him in position for a long-awaited match up against Sergey Kovalev -- which is now scheduled for mid-November.
