BART trains delayed due to multiple medical emergencies
BART is reporting residual delays for San Francisco-bound trains coming from the East Bay Tuesday morning because of multiple medical emergencies and slower train speeds as a result of wet and windy weather, a dispatcher said.
BART has had ongoing delays of upwards of 20 minutes for trains coming from the East Bay to San Francisco, agency officials said shortly before 9 a.m.
The delays are a result of at least four medical emergencies within an hour of each other on San Francisco-bound trains, all involving people who fainted on trains traveling through the Transbay Tube, the dispatcher said.
Adding to the delays are the slower speeds the trains have to travel because of the stormy weather in the Bay Area this morning, the dispatcher said.
