CASTAIC, Calif. (FOX 11) - A bear and her cub have been captured after they were seen roaming in a Castiac neighborhood late Friday morning.
They were first spotted in the 3200 block of Sierra Oak Trail adjacent to Interstate 5.
The mama bear and her cub were in a backyard for hours, at one point they went near a koi pond and a swimming pool.
Aerial footage from Sky FOX also captured the pair digging through a trash bin. Residents say they have never been this close to a bear before.
Officials captured the two shortly before 3:30 p.m. Both bears are reportedly doing fine.
