Behold! Stunning Bay Area sunset captured on social media

OAKLAND, Calif. (KTVU) - Social media around the Bay Area lit up Thursday evening with a stunning sunset display in the sky.

With summer barely a week old, hues of pink, purple, and orange enchanted the late June sky. 

Submissions to the station came from Fairfield, Brentwood, Martinez, Napa Valley, San Francisco, Antioch, Pittsburg and beyond. 

Our own videographer Jacob Unger shared an intensely vibrant East Bay sky during the "golden hour" and posted that it was around 80 degrees at 9 p.m.  

No matter where their vantage point, it seemed just about anyone was in good position to take in nature's breathtaking beauty throughout the Bay Area.
