Car plows into Oakland church, officer conducting traffic struck by different car

A vehicle crashed into a church Tuesday night in Oakland. An Oakland police officer conducting traffic control for the crash was then struck and injured by another vehicle, KTVU has learned. %INLINE%

The car hit Grace Baptist Church, located at 98th Avenue and Walter Avenue, at around 8:18 p.m. The car went "all the way" into the church, according to a stringer photographer at the scene of the crash just east of the Nimitz Freeway and south of the Oakland Coliseum. 

Officials say at least three people suffered minor injuries after the car hit the church. The officer is said to have only suffered minor injuries.
