California Highway Patrol in San Francisco says a cement truck overturned on the 101 Central Freeway connector Thursday afternoon when it hit the guardrail, spilling some of its load on the freeway and onto vehicles parked below.

The incident closed all lanes of U.S. Highway 101 just north of Ninth Street and was first reported at about 3:30 p.m.

San Francisco Fire Department reported to the scene near the Duboce Street off ramp and said the driver was able to get out of the vehicle and was okay. Only minor injuries were reported.

SF Department of Emergency Management sent out an alert at 3:49 p.m. to avoid the area of 10th and Bryant Streets because of the vehicle above and the debris below.

As of 8:30 p.m. all northbound lanes were still blocked.
