CHP rescues ducklings from Highway 101 traffic in San Mateo County

SAN MATEO CO., Calif. (KTVU) - California Highway Patrol rescued a brood of ducklings from Highway 101 traffic in San Mateo County on Monday and reunited them with their mother.

CHP said the rescue took place on northbound 101 just south of SFO Airport. 

The coordinated effort got underway thanks to multiple calls from the public and the results are adorable. 

CHP Santa Rosa had a separate rescue involving geese in Sonoma County.
