Colin Kaepernick speaks to Oakland high school football team
OAKLAND, Calif. (KTVU) - 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick visited Castlemont High School's football game on Friday night to give a pre-game speech.
Members of the Castlemont football team has recently kneeled and laid down during the National Anthem. Kaepernick says he is inspired by them because they are standing up to injustices at a younger age than he did.
During Friday's anthem, Kaepernick kneeled alongside the players on the sidelines, while some students laid with their hands up.
