There was a feathered stowaway on a BART train Monday morning that caused quite the ruckus.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle a pigeon boarded BART shortly after 8 a.m. at the El Cerrito Del Norte station.

Apparently commuters worked together to safely corner the bird.

According to the report, Sarah Mason had disposable gloves in a first aid kit. She slipped them on before capturing the bird. Mason told the Chronicle she's not a bird person. That didn't stop her from stepping up to save the morning commute... and her feathery friend.

She held the bird for three underground stops before she was able to let it out at the MacArthur station, according to the Chronicle.
