Crews in Oakland made short work of a fire in a three-story apartment building on Thursday.

Officials said there were no reported injuries. The fire on the 1900 block of 26th Avenue was first reported by Oakland Fire Department on social media at around 5:30 p.m.

Less than half an hour later, officials said the fire was out and that they remained on the scene to continue to check units adjacent to the area where the fire began.

Fire officials said the fire began on the first floor and spread to all three floors through the interior light well. The cause of the fire appears to have been accidental.

Battalion Chief Frank Tijiboy told KTVU six units are damaged. It is not yet known how many people have been displaced due to this fire.

Video from the Citizen app shows the fire department responding.

KTVU's Amber Lee contributed to this report.
