Evacuations ordered in 1,700-acre fire burning along Highway 16 in Yolo County
YOLO CO. (KTVU) - Evacuation orders have been issued for parts of Yolo County because of a quick moving vegetation fire that's threatening several structures at Country Road 41 and Highway 16 near the towns of Rumsey and Guinda.
An evacuation center has been established at the Esparato Boy Scout Cabin, located at 16980 Yolo Ave in Esparto.
Local Bay Area fire agencies were responding, as of Saturday afternoon.
Sonoma County and Marin County Sheriff's announced that smoke seen in Sonoma and Marin Counties was from the Sand Fire, and was not a threat to any of Sonoma or Marin Counties.
