Fairfield man detained after allegedly shooting, killing brother
Three teens have been arrested for what police believe to be a weekend robbery spree.
FAIRFIELD, Calif. - A Fairfield man was detained for allegedly shooting and killing his brother on Saturday afternoon.
What we know:
Fairfield Police Department officers were called about 4:55 p.m. by a man who claimed he had shot his brother and believed he was dead, according to a department statement.
Emergency responders went to the scene on Westphalian Drive in the Cordelia neighborhood, and police detained the alleged shooter without incident.
The suspect’s name was not released.
The suspect’s brother was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound, where he later died.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and no potential motive was immediately known.
