Firefighters rescue trapped person from Oakland house fire

OAKLAND (BCN) - Oakland firefighters knocked down a heavy fire just east of Lake Merritt Wednesday morning.
One occupant was reportedly trapped in the burning two-story Victorian building in the 400 block of East 19th Street, fire officials said at 6:18 a.m.
At 6:27 a.m., firefighters had knocked down the fire, evacuated the trapped occupant and completed a primary search for other victims. The rescued occupant is now receiving medical attention.
