Half Moon Bay stabbing leaves one injured, suspect at large

An adult male is expected to survive after being stabbed multiple times in Half Moon Bay.

A man suffered multiple stab wounds just after midnight Saturday, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.

San Mateo County Sheriff's responded to the western end of Wave Avenue, near the field and beach, on reports that a subject was calling for help.

When they arrived, the found the adult man with multiple stab wounds and cuts to his legs and torso. 

The victim reported that he got into an altercation with an unknown suspect near the western end of Wave Avenue.

During the altercation, the suspect stabbed the victim.

Deputies searched the area for any persons of interest, however no witnesses or suspects were found.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
