Henry Lee's Rap Sheet for Dec. 3, 2015
(KTVU) - Here's the Rap Sheet for Dec. 3, 2015:
KID CRIMINALS REDUX: Yesterday we told you about an 11-year-old girl caught shoplifting at Target with her mother, who then abandoned her in the store.
Today there's word that two other kids, ages 10 and 12, took part with a group of adults in a brazen burglary of a hydroponics business in Santa Rosa.
This case began about 3 p.m. Nov. 27 when five adults and two kids walked into "Grow Generation" at 353 College Ave., said Sgt. Josh Ludtke.
The group immediately "fanned out" inside the store. One suspect approached an employee at the cash register and asked about getting a job there, while others roamed. A second suspect later asked the employee about a product in the back of the store, Ludtke said.
"The employee escorted the suspect to a secluded area of the business to show him the product, where the suspect continued to keep the employee distracted," police said.
After about five minutes, all of them left. That's when the employee realized that $3,500 in merchandise from the shelves were missing.
The worker ran outside and managed to get a partial license plate of the vehicle the suspects were using, Ludtke said.
On Wednesday, police identified the suspects and served a search warrant in Santa Rosa. Officers arrested Tina Jean Castillo, 51; Lou Medina-Quijas, 36; Michael Joe Medina, 30 and Celia Betina-Quijas, 18, all of Santa Rosa. They were booked on suspicion of burglary, grand theft and conspiracy.
Police determined that the children belong to one of the suspects. Child Protective Services was notified, and the kids' parents could also face charges of child endangerment, Ludtke said.
KNOW THIS GUY?: The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety needs help identifying a man they say robbed the Exchange Bank on Commerce Boulevard this morning.
The man pulled into the bank parking lot in a white full-size pickup truck, walked inside and handed a teller a demand note. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Anyone with information is asked to call Rohnert Park police at (707) 584-2630.
ANOTHER HOT COP?: With the apparent downfall of SFPD's "Hot Cop of the Castro" Chris Kohrs, charged in a hit-and-run case, it was inevitable that someone else would fill the void.
Apparently a woman who was pulled over by one of Pleasanton's finest is enamored by the man behind the badge.
The woman, with the Twitter handle @lainaaa5, posted at 11:28 p.m. Wednesday, "Holy hell. Just got pulled over by the hottest man I've ever laid my eyes on. @pleasantonpd help me find my future husband." She included two emoticons, a smiley face and a cop car.
This morning at 9:50 a.m., @pleasantonpd responded with its own Tweet: "*blushing*"
The woman later posted an update, saying that her mother approved.
Rap Sheet called Pleasanton PD for more info, but a department representative politely punted my pitch to pinpoint the pulchritudinous patrolman.
