Man dies in fatal crash on I-680 in Pleasant Hill

PLEASANT HILL, Calif. - A man died Thursday morning on Interstate Highway 680 in Pleasant Hill, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP responded to a 4:34 a.m. report of a man in the middle lane of the freeway, which closed all southbound lanes just north of the junction with Treat Boulevard in Walnut Creek. 

Lanes reopened about 6 a.m.
