Man in car shot and killed in Oakland, police say

OAKLAND (KTVU) -- Police were searching for clues after a man was gunned down inside his car in Oakland Friday night, authorities said.
Police were called to the 8800 block of Hillside Street shortly after 5:30 p.m., after someone heard gunfire in the area police Officer John O'Reilly said.
Responding officers found a male victim fatally shot in a vehicle, O'Reilly said. The man died at the scene.
Homicide detectives have been sent to the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting, according to O'Reilly. He said there was no information about suspects or arrests
The identification of the victim was withheld, pending notification to the next of kin.
