Muni inspector struck by large truck in San Francisco

A dump truck struck a Muni inspector in San Francisco at 8 a.m. in the 2900 block of Van Ness, according to police officer Robert Rueca.

The inspector was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver stayed on scene and was cooperating.

The inspector's job is to make sure operators, construction crews and passengers all know what's going on at the construction site. It's not clear if he was injured while he was in the street or on the sidewalk.
