Oakland school honors student, mother killed in hit-and-run

OAKLAND, Calif. (BCN) - International Community School in Oakland on Thursday afternoon will march and hold a vigil for their kindergartener Angel Garcia-Vasquez and his mother Alma Vasquez, who were both killed by a hit-and-run driver last Saturday.

The march begins at 3 p.m. at the school at 2825 International Blvd. and the program begins at 3:50 p.m. at 26th Avenue and Foothill Boulevard, the site of the fatal hit-and-run.
