OPD searching for possible shooting suspect involved in skate park incident

OAKLAND, Calif. (KTVU) - Oakland police say they have detained three to four people and are looking for more who may be involved in a shooting at MacArthur Skate Park Friday night.
OPD says they followed the shooting suspect from the park at 2735 MacArthur Boulevard and Coolidge Avenue to a 7-Eleven at MacArthur and Lincoln Avenue. They say they witnessed the suspect toss a gun into the bushes at the store's Upper Dimond location.
According to scanner traffic, the shooting was said to have occurred around 7:37 p.m.
The suspect is described as a black male with an afro, in his 20s and may have ran into the Fruitvale Presbyterian Church.
There may have been witnesses that tipped police to the suspect's whereabouts, including the direction he fled and the type of vehicle he was in.
