Pathway Home in Yountville suspends operations indefinitely following deadly shooting

YOUNTVILLE, Calif. - The Board of Directors of The Pathway Home announced Wednesday that it is suspending the program's operations in the aftermath of last Friday's shooting at the facility on the campus of the Veterans' Home of California.  

That tragedy took the lives of Executive Director Christine Loeber and staff psychologists Dr. Jennifer Gonzales and Dr. Jennifer Golick, who served as the program's core clinical team.
 
Veterans who have been in the program's care will be supported by mental health and other services in cooperation with the federal Veterans Administration and local Napa County and non-profit providers.

The future use of Madison Hall, the building that housed The Pathway Home, has not been determined. The building remains closed as the law enforcement investigation continues. 
 
The Board indicated that it is examining a range of options to continue the important mission of The Pathway Home, helping the nation's post-9/11 veterans with mental health services and wellness support in a network of local and national public and private partners. 
 
The #3BraveWomenFund has been set up through The Pathway Home's website, for donations benefiting the families of Ms. Loeber and Drs. Gonzales and Golick, as well as in support of other mental health services for military veterans. 
 
A Celebration of Life for the three women will be held on Monday, March 19 at 6:00 PM in the Napa Valley Performing Arts Center at the Lincoln Theater, located on the Veterans Home campus in Yountville.  The event is open to the public.
