Possible Bay Area serial robber may have struck again

A man suspected in a string of armed robberies across the Bay Area may have struck again.

Walnut Creek Police say just after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, a gunman robbed a 7-Eleven, on 301 North Civic Drive, east of Interstate 680.

The clerk says a man wearing a mask, pointed a silver handgun at him, and then took off with cash from the register.

Investigators believe the suspect is the same person responsible for recent robberies in Redwood City, San Leandro and Walnut Creek.

Police had released a photo, from a surveillance video of a robbery at a Valero Gas Station on Ygnacio Valley Road last week.

In the most recent robbery, the suspect is described as an adult male, possibly Asian, unknown age, about 5 feet 6 inches, with a stocky build, and wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants.
