Richmond homicide suspects arrested; police say drug deal went awry
RICHMOND, Calif. (KTVU) - Richmond police arrested three homicide suspects on Tuesday in connection to the murder one night prior of 21-year-old Eric Brown of Richmond.
19-year-old Richard Taylor of Richmond, 22-year-old Anthony Tolliver of Richmond, and 19-year-old Kamani Ely of San Pedro were all taken into custody and charged for murder and robbery. According to police, the weapons they used were also recovered.
Police say the incident was a drug transaction “gone awry”. On Monday night around 10:50 p.m. Richmond officers responded to a La Moine Park shooting at 3501 Morningside Drive. Two people were shot, Brown suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save his life, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The second victim, a 19-year-old Rodeo resident suffered gunshot wounds to his lower extremities, but is said to be recovering.
