Neighbors in the area told KTVU they did not see the shooting, but they did see the aftermath: About two dozen police cars parked in their neighborhood, circling the park, which includes pickleball and handball courts.

This man died about a week after San Jose police shot and killed Karim Kahn, a 37-year-old man they said was involved in a family disturbance, and who later pointed a gun at them.

San Jose's police chief is expected to speak at 3 p.m. on Monday regarding Sunday's shooting and stabbing.
