San Leandro BART station closed briefly due to bomb threat
SAN LEANDRO, Calif. - The San Leandro BART station has been deemed safe and reopened, and officers are questioning an individual in connection with a bomb threat this afternoon, a spokesman said.
The station was shut down around 1:10 p.m. because of the bomb threat while officers investigated, BART spokesman Jim Allison said.
The threat was discovered to be baseless and the station reopened around 1:30 p.m., Allison said.
"The train is back in service and trains are making all the stops along those lines," Allison said.
Meanwhile, officers are questioning a person with regard to the bomb threat, Allison said.
Delays caused by the closure of the station have been resolved, according to BART.
