San Mateo police investigating murder-suicide on city's east side
SAN MATEO, Calif. (KTVU) - San Mateo police confirm a murder-suicide at Patricia and Young Street on the city’s east side.
Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Young St. at 9:39 a.m. Wednesday morning where residents told KTVU they saw police tape cordoning off the area.
Police said they went to conduct a welfare check on an elderly couple. Upon entering the home, they found the couple to be deceased. Detectives believe in their preliminary investigation that this was a murder-suicide.
According to police, the incident is isolated to this one home. There are no outstanding suspects.
The incident remains under investigation.
