San Francisco Police are investigating a car jacking that ended with a serious crash right next to AT&T Park early Wednesday morning.

The car jacking took place on the 6000 block of Geary Blvd in the Richmond district around 3:30a.m.

Shortly after it was reported, officers spotted the vehicle and initiated a pursuit, which ended with the car crashing into a lightpole and parking metere near 2nd and Kind streets right across the street from the Giants ballpark.

One suspect fled the scene but was caught a short distance away; two other suspects remaind in the vehicle.

All three suspects were taken to the hospital for treatment, but police have not shared any information about the severity of their injuries.

Witnesses near the scene shot video showing a major police response to the chase & crash this morning.

King street is blocked westbound while police conduct their investigation, however 2nd street is open where it connects to King so there's not a major traffic impact at this point.

Commuters coming into the city using I-280 and King street will likely see the crash, but no delays have been reported yet.
