Man seen on video throwing eggs at person sleeping on sidewalk in SF's Haight-Ashbury
SAN FRANCISCO - San Francisco police are investigating after a man in the city's Haight-Ashbury neighborhood had eggs thrown at him while he was sleeping.

Video shared on Reddit shows a man in a suit grabbing eggs from the back of a car and throwing them toward a building.
Police say a man was sleeping on the sidewalk Monday evening along the 1700 block of Haight Street when another man began throwing eggs at him and the wall of a building.
The victim was able to shield himself with his blanket, according to police.
Police later identified and located the man who threw the eggs and conducted a mental health evaluation. The victim did not press charges, according to police.
No prior interactions
In the now-viral video, people are seen trying to restrain the man throwing the eggs. The man tells the bystanders that the man sleeping on the sidewalk had attacked him and stolen his eggs.
The two men had no previous encounters, police said.
The victim was not injured.
