SJPD seeks public's help to solve murder of professor
SAN JOSE, Calif. (KTVU) - The San Jose Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify a man who may be connected to the murder case of college professor David Moglen.
Moglen, an economics professor at Foothill College, was gunned down on the evening of July 28, 2016 just south of downtown San Jose.
Police sources told KTVU, that Moglen was trying to stop a man who had just robbed him when he was killed.
Now investigators have released video and pictures of a man that may be connected to the crime.
In surveillance video, the man is seen wearing dark clothing and casually walking down a city sidewalk.
Police are not calling the man a suspect or even a person of interest, but they are asking for the public's help to identify him.
Moglen's death was the city's 29th homicide of 2016.
He leaves behind a wife and two children.
