Stanford headed to Rose Bowl

Heisman Trophy candidate, Christian McCaffrey, runs over USC for Rose Bowl birth
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KTVU) - Stanford will head to the Rose Bowl, after winning the Pac-12 Championship Saturday night at Levi's Stadium.
The Cardinal defeated the USC Trojans, 41-22.
Stanford was led by its Heisman Trophy candidate running back, Christian McCaffrey and quarterback, Kevin Hogan.
Both players accomplished the rare feat of each passing, receiving and rushing for a touchdown.
McCaffrey rushed 32 times for 207 yards, including a 50-yard run.
Stanford had hoped to earn a spot in the national playoff, but didn't make the final four.
Traditionally, the Rose Bowl features the Pac-12 and Big 10 champions. But since the Big 10 champion, Michigan State Spartans, were selected for the playoffs, the Rose Bowl can select another team.
