Suspicious package sent to alleged San Bernardino attackers
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (KTVU) -- San Bernardino Police dealt with a bomb scare Friday night, connected to Wednesday's mass shootings.
A suspicious package was sent to the home of Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik, the couple accused of the attack that killed 14 people and injured 21 others.
San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan, tweeted that the package was addressed to one of the suspects in their Redlands home.
The UPS driver realized where the package was being sent to, and as a precaution, instead of delivering it, she brought the package back to the UPS facility.
She described the package as a medium-sized.
The area was sealed off, and UPS workers suspended operations, and evacuated the center.
But a bomb technician inspected the package, and determined there was no threat.
The package ended up containing articles of clothing, said officials.
