UC application deadline extended because of tech glitches

OAKLAND, Calif. - The University of California has now extended the deadline to apply for UC schools.

UC's admissions department says the extension is due to recent outages on its official website.

The application deadline that was originally scheduled for 11:59 p.m. Monday has been changed to Friday.

However, the UC admissions office is still encouraging students to submit their applications as soon as possible.
