Two-legged ‘T-Rex' dog to get wheelchair thanks to generous donors
FORT WORTH, Texas - Tobi The Wonder Dog, also known as Tobi the T-Rex is a two-year-old mini Australian Shepherd. He loves treats and people. He was born with just two legs, but he doesn’t seem to mind.
“He is not in pain. He is really super happy. He’s just a happy, loving boy,” The Humane Society’s Cassie Lackie told Fox 4. “I don’t think he knows there’s anything wrong with him.”
Tobi loves cruising around on his hind legs, and always has a smile. But the Humane Society of North Texas says eventually walking this way will leave him paralyzed due to compressing discs in his back.
That’s why they sought out donations to help Tobi get his own set of wheels. Not surprisingly, people in the community really stepped up for him. The wheels have been ordered, and they’ll start fitting them in about three weeks.
Once Tobi learns how to be comfortable on two legs and two wheels, he’ll be adopted out to a family that is equipped and ready to roll with him.
