Union City police respond to medical call, find subject dead in street

Union City police officers found a man lying in the middle of the street when they responded to a call of a subject who needed medical attention Thursday morning around 11:00. The man was pronounced dead on the scene, according to officials.

Police were dispatched to the 4400 block of Lisa Drive in Union City for a man that was in need of medical attention.  The cause of death is undetermined and it is not known if foul play was involved. 

There may have been a dispute with family members prior to the medical call that went out, police said. The man is described as an approximately 50-year-old male, but has not yet been identified. His identity will not be released until contact has been made with next of kin.

There is no threat to the public and authorities are not looking for any outstanding suspects.
